Tipsy Pig's Strawberry Fields...with a lil' twist

A couple of weeks ago I took a trip to San Francisco to see some friends who live in the Marina. If you're familiar with the area, I'm sure you've heard of The Tipsy Pig and their famous Strawberry Fields drink. It. Is. Delicious. And in my opinion, I may have made it even more delicious.

This is the perfect summer cocktail, and a full-proof crowd pleaser. I can't wait to showcase it in a couple of weeks at a going away party!

With A Lil' Twist's "Berry Fields" Cocktail
Serving: 4-6 cocktails

Ingredients:

  • 2 Cups Fresh Strawberries, Capped
  • 1 Cup of Raspberries
  • 2 Sprigs of Fresh Mint
  • Juice of 1/2 Lemon
  • Zest of 1 Lemon
  • Club Soda
  • Sparkling Lemonade (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp Simple Syrup
  • 1.5 oz. Vodka (per drink)

Directions:
Wash the capped strawberries and raspberries and chop finely.

Place the berries into a bowl. Take the leaves of mint of the sprig give them a fine chop. Add them to the bowl of berries. Add the lemon zest and juice to the bowl. Take a fork and mix well together, smashing everything together.

Layer the bottom of your cocktail cup of choice (I chose a mason jar) with the berries. Add ice, then add in the vodka. Pour in a half-and-half amount of sparkling lemonade and club soda. Finally add the simple syrup. Stir, garnish and serve.

Hope you pull this recipe out one day this summer, I promise it will not disappoint! Enjoy :)

Love,
Nicole
